The episode of Horizon I worked on (To Infinity and Beyond) just got aired on BBC 2. I animated roughly a minute and a half of animation for the show, the show should be online on iplayer for at least a week.

Hi all, I haven’t had much any time to post anything recently, the new MA is life consuming. On the plus I got the OK yesterday to post this development work I did for sherbet a few months ago.
The image above is a still that wont be in the film because the angle wouldn’t work in the edit/story but I still like it and it would be a shame to bin it, so I though it could live on the blog.

Here’s a few doodles I drew whilst waiting for renders on my latest job; I’m trying to do as much work as I can at the moment before I start my MA in January.
From left to right:
I. Me on monday night ‘finishing’ the never ending job at 3:31 am.
II. Not much going on with the drawing here but I thought it was interesting colouring only using a single hue and just varying saturation and luminosity…
III. my interpretation of the Gruffalo (after seeing a still from the new animated version coming out this Christmas, fingers crossed)
Anyway, just a brief update, I’m thinking of doing a short animatic to upload just for practice, perhaps that will materialize soon.

Hi all, here’s a quick hand study I made yesterday, I was modelling a hand in maya and was having trouble with the topology so I got out the plasticine to figure out some proportions. On another note progress on the short has slowed down, I have some work on at the moment and I must make hay when the sun shines.
